English weddings are usually quite restrictive. You need a registrar or minister of religion to be legally married. However, this limits you to specific venues, times of day and well-trodden words. If you’re looking for something more personalised and heart-felt, you can choose to visit the registry office in advance and complete the legal side of your marriage then hold a ceremony that is meaningful to you. As an Independent Life Celebrant, I can conduct your ceremony wherever and whenever you like. Under the stars, by a lake, in a woodland, on the beach, in your garden or somewhere else that’s special to you both. It will be a truly one of a kind wedding.
This is also a great option if you chose to get married abroad and would like to hold a ceremony to share your joy with your family and friends.
We will have the freedom to design the vows so they capture exactly how you feel about your lives together. I’ll work with you to choose readings, music and rituals that mean something to you. We can include family members, friends, children and make it something for everyone to remember. We can also incorporate simple rituals such as handfasting or exchange of rings.
I craft your ceremony so it is unique to you. I will spend time with you discussing your hopes, dreams and desires and how you wish to convey your love and commitment. Working together, we can design a beautiful ceremony incorporating elements that are significant and meaningful to you both and get your new life together off to the perfect start.
