Your wedding day will be one of the most special days of your life. It will be emotional, surreal, stressful, amazing, and something you will want to remember forever. If you are looking for a photographer who will deliver a gallery of very staged photos, I’ll be upfront and say I’m probably not the one for you!
However, if you are looking for a photographer who will:
tell the story of your wedding day in pictures; from the first moments nervously getting ready, to your first kiss as a married couple, to everyone having a blast on the dance floor;
capture photos full of genuine emotions;
allow you and your guests to just be yourselves and have an amazing time;
put you first, and care about you enjoying your day to the full, and not about ordering you around and constantly asking you to ‘smile!’
…then hello! Your search may be over, and I’d LOVE to chat about your wedding and hear all about your plans!
I would describe myself as a documentary wedding photographer and edit in a light and airy, film-like style. I like to capture events as they unfold – all the love, laughter and little moments. I am friendly and unobtrusive, blending into the background so you can be yourselves, enjoy your day to the full, and I can tell its story.
I think some of the best photos pose themselves and like to keep things as natural as possible. I got married recently, and take it from me – your wedding day with absolutely blur by in a mad rush of emotions, faces, and words. You may not remember all the little moments: your oldest friends crying with laughter at a really bad joke; your uncle pulling some crazy moves on the dance floor; one of your littlest guests chucking confetti all over her sister. But that’s where I come in, to capture them for you, so you can remember them forever.
If you’d also like some more traditional photos, hey, that’s fine by me! My approach is that it’s your day, and if you want to do the group shots and couple shots, let’s go for it. We can find a balance which works perfectly for you as a couple.
